Hard Knock Life, the rough back alleys of Puerto Rico
My key to success is being a survivor. It shapes your life. You look at things differently and appreciate kindness and good fortune. I survived Dead Dog Beach in Puerto Rico, but the hard times were all worth it to end up in my new loving home with Noel and Rodrigo.
Things that frighten me are loud noises, anything that moves, people I don’t know and the world in general. I’m an anxious girl, but I’m becoming more confident every day!
I feel most alive when I am running free in the woods with the wind in my fur and a squirrel in chase.
Lola is a Sato, a Puerto Rican Rescue dog, and a mix of unknown origins which we think of as ‘Pure Perfection’. She was flown to Boston and adopted by her loving parents at the Sterling Animal Shelter. Like many Satos, Lola is skittish and fearful of people she doesn’t know – a skill that served her well surviving in the streets. But don’t let her shy personality fool you, after she feels comfortable, Lola is affectionate and playful, giving lots of kisses and snuggles. Lola excels in running through the woods, catching Frisbees and recognizing squirrels from 100 paces.
Since Lola’s parents speak Spanish and Italian, Lola is also trilingual. She loves coming to the office and playing with her best friend Bruiser, who is very protective of her and helps her feel more confident. Lola is available by appointment. Please call in advance!
