Attorneys George Warshaw and Noel Di Carlo were the featured speakers at an luncheon event hosted by Cape Anne Animal Aid.  George and Noel spoke about Pet Trusts.  They asked the guests, "What would happen to them, if something happened to you?" It sounds silly: "A trust for your pet? Including your pet in your will?"  But as George and Noel pointed out, our pets are often like little children with fur! But who will really care for them if you are not around?

While Pet Trusts are not for everyone, but they may be for you. There are too many true stories of pets left at shelters, passed from home to home, euthanized or abandoned when their owners died. None of their owners ever imagined that would happen.
